View events in calendar mode (member log in needed for member-only events) | Lake HudsonLake Hudson (856-517-3543) The swim season begins Saturday, May 24 - Lake Hudson will be open Saturday, Sunday, and Monday from 11:00am - 8:00pm. After Memorial Day, the Lake will be open on the weekends only, through June 22. Starting June 23, the Lake will be open during the week (Mon - Thurs) with a schedule of 11:00am - 6:00pm with weekends Friday, Saturday, and Sunday open from 11:00am - 8:00pm. Roger Asselta is our returning Lake Supervisor and we welcome our new Lake Supervisor, Kim Seayrs. Feel free to stop by and say hello and ask them if you have any questions about the use of the Lake and picnic area. Please remember the Gate Checkers are Club Employees and may request to see your membership card or photo ID/driver's license when arriving at the Club. You can view your membership card and print it by going to our website. We have many members coming to use the lake and additionally we have guests coming for various events/rentals. Please be courteous to our lake staff as they are ensuring people coming to the Club are either members or guests of members. Guests & Fees: Guests are non-immediate family members. Family members must be registered in your online account profile. Members who are grandparents can bring their grandchildren but the grandchildren need to be registered with your membership. Weekday Guest Fee is $4 and Weekend Guest Fee is $6 A few reminders to keep everyone safe:
Brian Kamens, Lake Director _______________ Paddle Craft Storage In December 2024 the Board of Directors passed, on a Trial Basis, a revised boat storage policy which reinstated membership storage of Paddlecraft on Club grounds during the Spring through Summer seasons (April 1st through October 1st). Storage is offered for Paddlecraft only, such as Kayaks and Canoes. Registration in person at the Club Office is required. All applicants for registration must be current with annual dues. Storage slots are limited to one slot per membership. There is a $40.00 per slot seasonal registration fee. Click here to download the storage rules and rack locations. SEASONAL WATERCRAFT STORAGE 2025 GUIDELINES: WATERCRAFT STORAGE, Salem County Sportsmen’s Club GENERAL : WATERCRAFT MUST BE REGISTERED WITH THE OFFICE PER THIS GUIDELINE. 1. Two areas on Club grounds are available for Seasonal Storage of Watercraft in racks with assigned numbered slots. “Seasonal” is defined as April 1 st to October 1 st . *Storage areas are designated: Area #1-Lake and Area #2-Canal (Location Description Below) . 2. Storage opportunity is limited to Kayak and Canoe types only . Storage of boats and/or watercraft exceeding a maximum beam width of 40” are not permitted. 3. Watercraft Storage Registration is required and available to the membership only. Applications for registration will be received beginning January 1 st of the seasonal year. 4. Applicants’ annual dues must have been paid in full before submitting an application. 5. Applicants must complete then submit an application with the SCSC office in person . 6. Due to limited capacity, one (1) watercraft application per membership per season is permitted. Applications shall not be deemed complete unless accompanied by the corresponding fee. *Fees are non-refundable . 7. Upon application approval, a storage permit and watercraft self-adhering identifiers will be issued by the SCSC office administrator. (See #9 below) 8. Storage Permits are issued on a first-come, first-served basis dependent on available space. 9. All watercraft must display the above issued identifiers on the bow, port side which indicate the applicant’s Member ID Number and Seasonal Color Marker. A slot number will be assigned to each Permit Holder. 10. Members, while camping may not use storage racks unless their watercraft is registered. 11. Stored Watercraft must be locked in place with a cable lock provided by the watercraft owner . 12. All watercraft must be stored in the racks provided. No watercraft may be left on the ground . 13. PFDs, paddles, and accessories may not be stored with the watercraft. 14. Watercraft remaining on SCSC grounds thirty (30) days after the storage season conclusion (defined herein and above #1) shall be considered abandoned by the owner. The SCSC shall then pursue removal and disposal of abandoned watercraft in accordance with New Jersey law. This includes any watercraft not properly registered, stored, or maintained. 15. SCSC is not responsible for lost or damaged watercraft or their contents. Members store watercraft and/or their contents on SCSC grounds at their own risk. RACK LOCATIONS LAKE AREA : 23 slots are available. The location is at the southeast corner of Lake Hudson north of the lake boat ramp beyond the white pines. CANAL AREA : 10 slots are available. The location is at the East end of the Grove on the south side of Caretaker Rd. * As determined by the Board of Directors. _______________ Lake Use - Boats Be sure to also review the posted Lake Rules as you come up onto the beach. Non-powered watercraft such as canoes, kayaks, and paddle boats are allowed on the lake. Outboards / inboards are prohibited on the lake no matter if the propeller is submerged or not. We are very careful to ensure petroleum products do not enter our lake to protect the fish and other wildlife that benefit from our lake as well as to preserve its use for our members during the summer. When boating on the lake, everyone is required to wear life jackets. There are no exceptions.
